As we get older, the aches and pains that we typically deal with become more and more prevalent. This pain in our joints and muscles is usually from overwork or repetitive motion, prolonged or vigorous exercise, sitting too long, or holding stress in our body.
While body aches may present discomfort for anyone, some conditions that make it worse, such as, arthritis and autoimmune diseases like fibromyalgia or lupus.
Many remedies exist to help alleviate the discomfort of aches and pains, but can come with some serious consequences or don't work the way we need them to. These remedies may result in organ damage, addiction, or toxicity issues.
How does CBD work?
The CBD receptors (known as CB2) are part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is the physiological system that helps the homeostatic functions within the central nervous system. This includes the maintenance of bodily functions, pain, inflammation, and the immune system. CB2 receptors are found in the nerve and immune cells of just about every organ.
CBD binds to CB2 receptors as well as TRPV1 receptors. Damaged tissues sensitize TRPV1 to its chemical and physical stimuli. Adding massage further benefits the stimulation of TRPV1 activity and has a positive influence on CB2 receptors, which helps alleviate inflammation and pain.
How Topicals Work With the ECS
Topicals that contain CBD work with the skin by penetrating the C1 and C2 receptors directly. As soon as it penetrates the skin, it signals the DNA to produce a protein to halt the production of arachidonic acid which causes pain and inflammation.
Especially when combined with skilled massage or therapeutic touch, topical CBD oil provides substantial and quick relief from arthritis, joint & muscle pain, autoimmune disorders.
But the most significant benefit of topical CBD products is the fact that there are virtually no adverse side-effects such as those found in over the counter or prescription medications.
I created this massage and body oil to sweep tension and pain away with a soft cloud of CBD with a lavender spirit-lifting scent.
Use For Sleep:
Sleep is the portal to our unconscious. It’s when we rest our minds and heal our bodies, but it’s also when we dream. Dreams allow us to problem-solve and make sense of our day – they can also guide us along our spiritual path.
Use For Stress Relief:
Aches, pains, and tension are often signs that you’ve “overdone it.” This is often a response to underlying emotional stressors like shouldering responsibility - signaling the shoulders to become tense. Tension in the body can become chronic, so taking immediate action is important.
For Professional Use:
Trusted by PTs, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical trainers, athletes, and anyone looking to ease the aches and pains of an active lifestyle. As a massage oil, use on targeted areas to intensify the benefits of massage therapy. It may allow deeper muscle and tissue work to be done with less associated pain.
